Stepping up to the plate in it’s community support role, T-Mobile on Friday announced its plans for supporting the areas targeted by Hurricane Gustav. In the press release, they shared the following:
- Portable generators and the fuel to run them to power mobile cell sites.
- Microwave equipment for back links in case of T1 outages to their cells and HotSpot locations.
- Several Cells-On-Wheels to roll in and augment coverage as needed.
- Monitor and work to maintain coverage and capacity on evacuation routes.
