An article over at PC World reports that the two largest laptop manufacturers are experiencing an decline in laptop sales this quarter. Some are suggesting that this decline in sales is due to the anticipated launch of the updated version of Centrino, called Santa Rosa.

The Santa Rosa update was released in early May and was branded Centrino Duo and Centrino Pro, depending on the implementation used. With the ‘Pro’ version targeting business & laptop users, providing manageability and increased warless and processing power.
