Mobile video will probably get a boost next year as YouTube push into the mobile space. The problem of mobile video in my opinion is both the lack of content and the inconsistency of media players.
With a content-packed site like YouTube, that part of the equation is filled. The hard part will be a consistent player, unless they make sure to support all the players that are out there on mobile devices.
Of course, I left out the really hard part of mobile media. Bandwidth. All the streaming formats and the tools to support them are readily available, but its hard to leverage any of it when your bandwidth ranges from 20k to 400k.
Still, its an exciting prospect for all mobile users.
