While I’ve only linked to Engadget Mobile below, there are a number of screen caps of the latest beta version of Windows Mobile. It’ll be an incremental upgrade to be sure - similar to Windows Mobile 2003SE - refinements to a stable release.
Guess I’m not as impressed as I hoped I would be. The Windows Mobile GUI screams for a makeover, the base configuration being a good five years old or so.
Also, most devices employing Windows Mobile needs some new innovation. Don’t get me wrong, the devices coming out are good and fill a need, but I think manufacturers could do better on the feature set. Moreover, I think consumers should be demanding more and better innovation in the products being brought to market.
