But I’ll be blogging. And judging from the past few weeks, I’ll probably be blogging here at TML more than I have in the last month.
We’re heading out of town on a “road trip” for the next four days and I’m going to blog the technology pieces here! For random “stuff” you can read my personal blog at RickMahn.com (gratuitous plug).
The main mobile tech that’ll be traveling with me:
- T-Mobile MDA (mobile data via GPRS/EDGE services, Tunes via URGE [synced])
- Dell Laptop (with WiFi, will use MDA as modem via Bluetooth)
- HP iPaq w/Pharos GPS (Navigation, using MDA via Bluetooth for traffic updates)
- Kodak digital camera for good pics, MDA for quick snaps
- DC to AC adapter for charging the laptop in the car
- Orb to stream digital video from my home system when we’re at the hotels
I’ll be posting on what works, what doesn’t, what WiFi locations work, coverage of T-Mobile’s GPRS/EDGE network, acceptance of my ’80’s radio hits by the family, and so on…
